Carp Massage Therapy & Yoga
AN HOUR CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
For the last eighteen years, I have been slowly moving away from the corporate world and entering the field of yoga, therapeutics and manual therapy.
I have had the privilege to work in a variety of environments such as retirement homes, long-term care facilities and daycares. This experience combined with my fitness/ personal training, Classical Hatha Yoga training and Manual Osteopathy (DOMP) provides me with the opportunity to offer a unique approach to my treatments.
I offer gentle, non-invasive manual techniques to treat a variety of ailments caused by imbalances in the structural body (muscles, joints, tissues). I utilize a combination of techniques based on structural mobilization, muscle energy to treat sciatica, low back pain, and joint pain in general.
These techniques combined with visceral manipulation and cranial osteopathy among others treat issues such as constipation, sinusitis, and stress headaches and much more.
Manual osteopathy is covered by most private extended insurance plans. I am member of ACMA (L’Alliance Canadienne de Médecine Alternative). Please note that my treatments will be covered by insurance providers who recognize ACMA members.
Manual Osteopathy focuses on the joints, muscles and spine. It is a natural medicine that aims to restore function throughout the body, by treating the cause of pain and imbalance. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner's best tool is their hands, and their intuitive sense of feeling where the problem lies. They work with the body to enhance it's natural ability to self-regulate and self-heal.
To begin, each client participates in a 60 minute initial consultation. From there, follow-up appointments are available in 30, 45 and 60 minute time slots.
